This article is provided by the personal injury attorneys in Long Island, New York, from Banville Law who enjoy bringing family and friends to their favorite local park to enjoy all that nature has to offer.
The park brings tons of visitors who appreciate the park's amenities, such as tennis courts, playing fields, running paths, hiking and biking trails, picnic areas, much more. Bethpage State Park is not only a favorite park amongst residents but is also home to five world-class golf courses in the United States that include incredible restaurants, a Golf Pro Shop, and a driving range.
Choose from five 18-hole golf courses to play, including the world-class Black Course that happened to host the Barclays in 2012 and 2016, as well as the PGA Championship in 2019 and plans to host the Ryder Cup in 2025.
The Blue Course was designed by Tillinghast and later redesigned by Alfred Tull. The first nine holes are considered challenging, but the last nine are deemed easier and a great way to finish off the round of golf.
The Green Course was originally called Lenox Hills and has undergone a few renovations to upgrade its now slightly sloped golf course that's perfect for a beginner to the intermediately skilled golfer. The course features small greens and can be challenging to some.
The Black Course was created purposely for golfers with walking impediments. The course is considered difficult for the avid golfer while retaining its slope rating as one of the highest in the region.
The Red Course is a Tillinghast course unlike any other. It has long par 4s and dogleg holes, as well as one of the most difficult first holes in the nation.
Considered the easiest from past players, the Yellow Course was designed in 1958 and can be described as a true test for the skilled golfer.
Whether you plan on having a picnic on the grass of the state park or partaking in a game of golf with friends, you'll enjoy your stay at Bethpage State Park.
