Rockefeller State Park Preserve 

On a beautiful day, the Rockefeller State Park Preserve is simply stunning. Here visitors can hike through meadows and forested hills, taking as much of the 1771 acres as possible. 

Bird watchers love spending time at the park, with more than 200 different species to observe. The park is also home to thousands of insects, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and mammals. Equestrians are allowed if a permit is obtained in advance. 

Empire City Casino 

Adults looking to let loose should check out the casino! With more than 5,000 games to play, it will be hard to pick a favorite! The casino also has excellent dining opportunities and even has event spaces available for rent. 

Wolf Conservation Center 

The mission of the Wolf Conservation Center is to teach visitors about wolves and the important role these amazing predators play in the environment. Although visits need to be scheduled in advance, it’s an experience that will never be forgotten. 

Before and after a visit, the wolves can also be enjoyed via the Conservation Center’s webcam! 

Croton Gorge Park 

This 97-acre park has spectacular views of the dam and the spillway. During summer months, many visitors choose to hike and in the winter, cross country skiing and sledding are enjoyed by all! The park is open every day from 8 a.m. to dusk.
